The Department of Human Services is searching for a dedicated Plumber to complete our team at the Wernersville State Hospital. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In the role of Plumber 1, you will oversee the upkeep of plumbing and heating systems within the hospital. This includes clearing blocked drains using tools such as plungers, snakes, and sewer machines to meet the sanitary needs of residents. Additionally, you will repair flushometers by installing necessary repair kits to regulate water flow to toilets and urinals. To enhance your skills, you are encouraged to attend classes focused on plumbing and heating controls whenever feasible. You will have the opportunity to conduct preventive maintenance to minimize system downtime and undertake other related tasks to ensure uninterrupted service. This position may require overtime and emergency call-ins, and you will be expected to assist in emergency snow and ice removal efforts to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.

- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Three years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing components and fixtures; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:- You must possess an active motor vehicle license.
