Copyright Policy


Trade Scouts is copyright protected. We seek to protect our copyright and we seek to protect the intellectual property rights of others as well. While we recognize that we cannot control content posted by visitors to our sites. However, our “User Agreements” requires that anyone posting information to our sites post information that is lawful, accurate and does not encroach upon the rights of any other third parties. If inaccurate or unlawful information is somehow posted on our site, any such complaints may be made to our Quality Assurance Unit. All complaints will be investigated and, if determined appropriate, Trade Scouts may take any good faith action to remove the content or have it modified to comply with accuracy, truthfulness and proper accreditation. This may include forwarding the complainants contact information to the entity or person that posted the content on the site, in addition to taking any other reasonable steps necessary to correct the situation and to avoid a violation of intellectual property rights, or other such content violations. Ultimately, in appropriate circumstances, Trade Scouts reserves the absolute right, in our discretion, to remove, disable or terminate any account with any member, group or entity that has posted such content or who repeatedly infringes upon the rights of others or posts inaccurate or unlawful content.

Trade Scouts requires that any notice that you submit must be truthful. You must be aware and responsible for any content or notice that you submit may give rise to personal liability if it is false or misleading. Therefore, if you post anything that is questionable as to whether it infringes upon the rights of others, you must take it upon yourself to consult legal counsel of your choice before submitting such information to any of our sites.

Claims of Copyright Infringement:

Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. Section 512), Trade Scouts has implemented procedures for receiving written complaints regarding alleged infringements of intellectual property. Trade Scouts has designated a unit dedicated to investigating complaints of copyright infringement. If you have a good faith belief that there has been an infringement of copyrighted property, you may submit your completed written complaint to Trade Scouts at P.O Box 768 Owings Mills, Maryland 21117. Your written complaint must contain the following:

  1. A statement that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright or intellectual property at issue;
  2. A description of the copyrighted or intellectual property that you claim has been infringed;
  3. Identify the specific location of any of our web sites of the copyrighted or intellectual property that you claim is being infringed upon;
  4. Your e-mail address, mailing address and telephone number; and
  5. Statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed material or content that is being used on our site is not authorized to be used by us by the copyright or intellectual property holder, its agent, assigns; and
  6. Your statement must be submitted under the penalties of perjury that the information in your complaint is accurate and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner and or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright or intellectual property owner’s behalf.

Counter-Notice:

On the contrary, if you believe, that we have received a notice of a copyright infringement that has been improperly lodged against you, then you may submit a reply, a counter-notice, pursuant to Section 512(g) (2) and (3) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. To do so, simply provide a written communication directly to us which contains:

  1. Your signature;
  2. A full identification of the material removed or which to which access has been disabled; and
  3. A statement under the penalty of perjury that you have good faith belief that removal or disablement of the material was a mistake, that the material was misidentified;
  4. Your full name, e-mail address, your postal mailing address;
  5. A statement that you consent that any disputes arising out of this are governed in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Maryland.
  6. You may submit your Counter-Notice to Trade Scouts at Trade Scouts at P.O Box 768 Owings Mills, Maryland 21117, Attention HUMAN RESOURCES.

All Other Complaints:

For all other complaints or issues, other than copyright infringement, you may submit your written complaint to Trade Scouts at P.O Box 768 Owings Mills, Maryland 21117. Or, you may call us at 410-526-3520. This will include such issues as:
