Position Description
The Town of Dennis seeks candidates for the full-time benefited position of Local Building Inspector for the Building Department.
This position is responsible for the administrative, technical and inspection work related to the enforcement and interpretation of state building codes, local zoning by-laws and other applicable regulations.
Minimum Qualifications: Each local inspector shall have had at least five (5) years of experience in the supervision of building construction or design or in the alternative a two year associate degree in a field related to building construction or design or any combination of education and experience which would confer equivalent knowledge and ability.
Applicants not already certified as a Local Inspector may be appointed on the condition that they obtain a Local Inspectors Certification within 18 months of appointment. Applicants must have a valid driver's license.
Position is subject to CORI check.
